Come through for our weekly chess club, board and card games, vinyl listening and swaps, creative prompts, puzzles, drawing, writing, collage, zines, and plenty of opportunities to make, play and talk with other people. Think of it as an anti-algorithm room. No scrolling. No notifications. No feeds telling you what to look at next. Just music, games, conversation, creativity and ideas shared in the same room. ♟ Chess Club ♟ Our chess club is open to everyone, whether you've played for years, are completely new to the game, or haven't touched a chessboard since school. There are tables for casual games, quieter spaces for people who want to concentrate, and beginner-friendly tables where you can learn without feeling like you need to know everything already. We'll be experimenting with simple opening and strategy guides, beginner resources, and conversations about the mindset of chess, including how playing the game can help us think, make decisions, and approach problems differently. You don't need to bring a chess set or know how to play. Just come along. 🎲 More than chess 🎲 Chess is one part of the evening. You'll also find a social corner for card and board games, analogue activities, books, puzzles, creative prompts and things to discover around the room. Bring a game you'd like to share, challenge someone you've never met, listen to a record, make something, or simply hang out. The idea is simple: you never know who you might meet when you step away from the feed.
